Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. Remember when they were called Weblogs??
I know, I’m showing my age. Originally, blogs were much as they are today: chronological
writings or publications that were a mixture of personal thoughts, news and most importantly WEBLINKS. Often blogs were a mixture of what was happening in a person’s life and what was happening on the Net.
There are so many blogs today, it doesn’t seem to be a subject out there much that isn’t
covered as a topic for a blog. That’s why we often find difficulty in finding something to BLOG about!
Blogs have been around since early 1997, but really took off in popularity when the
automated publishing systems like Blogger (blogger.com) and WordPress (wordpress.org)
became available. These systems made it much easier with templates and guidelines so that a total newbie could be up and blogging in a very short time without spending weeks learning code. Automation made it easier for the early bloggers to input the WEBLINKS.
By 1999 there were 23 blogs in existence. Hard to believe isn’t it? Now there are literally millions!
The history is important for you to know, because it relates to what you can do today with
your blog. In MLM, you need to remember that the original weblogs were link-driven.
Today’s blogs are also link driven and this is your key to the success of your MLM marketing blog.
So what kind of links do you need? Seek out UNUSUAL links, INTERESTING links, TEACHING links, LEARNING links and SELF-IMPROVEMENT links for your blog. Anything that will enhance their life. Make them relate to your subscribers, your team, customers and prospects, even others in your up and down lines. Add you own review or commentary to them. PERSONALIZE it! You’ll be surprised at the exposure you’ll get so long as your blog is well done and doesn’t come across like one large advertisement for your business.
Jump in with both feet and blog about your business and how to be a successful MLM marketer. Blogs are a tremendous vehicle for telling people what you are doing, how you are doing it and all about your team and training.
On a final note: Blogging on IBOtoolBox (http://www.ibourl.com/jy2) will give you worldwide
exposure and is a free platform and save haven for marketing your opportunity.
